lupu-511.iso does not boot up at Thinkpad 600E

#1 Post by vitalis »

Hi,
trying to boot from lupu-511.iso CD on my old IBM Thinkpad 600E, but can't at the following stage:
Loading drivers needed to access disk drives....
Searching for Puppy files in computer disk drives...lupu-511.sfs not found. Drop ping out to initial-ramdisk console...

Where the problem is?

You did create the CD from the iso file?
If yes how?
Full spec's of your PC are needed.
Time savers:
Find packages in a snap and install using Puppy Package Manager (Menu).

Use peppyy's puppysearch

Yes, I've created CD from this this ISO file: http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/dis ... pu-511.iso

To create CD I used IsoBurner http://www.freeisoburner.com/

My PC is IBM Thinkpad 600E, Type 2645. Pentium-Mobile II 360MHz, 294 Mb of RAM, 40 Gb IDE HDD.
