Well here's a blast from the past thats just been updated.
Well its a well known system monitor, I compiled it because a user pm me asking for a link, 2 minutes later and I had it compiled, So I figured I might as well share it. This version comes with the Locales and the devs and its still a 700kb pet

Menu/Desktop/Gkrellm System Monitor <-- Location

It took me about fours years to run across them, but I finally found GTK1 sources for gkrellm and 12-15 plugins. I was thrilled cause I always liked the look of gkrellm but didn't want to run with GTK2.

Probably a Good idea 2 build this into Living H2O, coz I kNo' Sum1 who's Lost without it & the Truth

Why not with GTK2? My desktops are never without gkrellm.

I'm nuts for GTK1 programs -there is no other light toolkit that had so many programs wriiten for it. I have over 1,000 of them. I know GTK is not modern and is not politically corect without unicode and bidi support. But, I like the way programs start faster than you can pronounce their name!
On my web site, I have what is undoubtedly the largest collection of GTK1 stuff ever put together in one place. Two programs that I really wanted were gkrellm and gdmap and it was years before I ever stumbled across them. There only a couple of things left that I wish existed for GTK1 -isomaster and gtkdialog.
If I were smarter, I would add support for the missing stuff in GTK1. I do run a very hacked version of GTK1 with some extra functionality like drag-n-drop file selector. QT4 is here, GTK3 is coming, but don't take my GTK1 away!

May the Most High bless you for this one! In my opinion, this blows Conky out of the H2O. I was hoping to find it for Puppy. However, it opens for a fraction of a second, then disappears/crashes. I'm running Puppy 3.01 Retro (because my ess1879 sound chip in my Compaq Armada 7400 works in this distro). Do you know what I need to do to keep gkrellm running? Thanks.

could be because this version was compiled on 4 series and your using 3 series but you could try this older version

I tried the older gkrellm twice and got: "MD5SUM ERROR: gkrellm.pup
Package may be corrupted
Not enough space to unzip?" I have no idea what to do next, I'm not a computer whiz.

By the way, I tried the 214x and two of your FH's and couldn't get my sound to work with any of them. I'm using 301 Retro because the audio works and that is my main concern.

Hi I updated mt FireHydrant 3.0.1 Retro Lite version today and that reminded me to compile this app for your 3.0.1 Retro
works fine for me, also I made a menu item under system for it Its the full version including deps for compiling plugins etc, and locals

finally if you just want a English version without dev's, locals. etc than use this one

It works! Thanks. Although I need a microscope to read it. Any way to enlarge the text on it?

focus on the gkrellm and press F1 then you can chose configuration. Under Themes->Fonts you can change the font size.

but I tried that and it and it works you need to use the browse button in the font section and double click, but really I would just change the skin

Ps I have 3 series running for about 1 more hr any request for files ?

when i have used gkrellm in the past it was on linux mint. it also had a settings option in the menu for gkrellm. here i could set the many default addons it has, and also add new ones easily.i can still access the default setup by right clicking the plugin and edit settings



atm i am testing gkrellm on the new saluki pup. your pet installed fine there.
