I have Puppy Linux v4.1.2 installed on old Toshiba laptop with 800x600 screen size. The pointed cursor is too small to see properly. How can I increase the size of it?

How do I increase mouse pointer size
Ok you need a cursor theme......I have attached one that is good for small screens.
Unpack the archive into /root so you have
/root/.icons/(contents inc default folder)
restart X and you should have a beefy cursor ....
if unfamiliar...click on the file once downloaded..select extract (all) .. put /root in the dialog if not already..ok.........the .icon folder will be hidden..press the eye.
hope this does the trick

Thanks Mike for the answer to my problem. I installed exactly as you said and now I can see the pointer so much easier. I have been running Linux since ~1991. This puppy Linux is somewhat different for me compared to the others I have used. Puppy is certainly the way to go especially for these older systems. I ran a LAN cable today to bring the laptop into the living room. The wife says she really likes the larger mouse pointer as well.
Thanks again
