I read the whole thread but somehow I was not sure :-)

By the way, both domains are not reachable, at least here in India. Can you please try and let me know if you can open those two sites?

Thanks,
-SS.

Something is fishy :-(
I cannot get dotpups.de by direct browsing and ping leads to 100% packet loss.
However through anonymous browsing services provided online by metaproxy, I can access it but am unable to download anything cause they wont allow it free.
This means somebody is willfully blocking "dotpups.de" For what reason I cant fathom!!!!
I am in India using Tata Indicom dial-up connection.

Nice, cb88. Hope they give Puppy a good look and do a story on it, too.

Cheers

dotpups.de has been unavailable for quite a long time. MU had to move it due to problems with hosting limits and costs. All of those archives are now at http://puppyfiles.org/dotpupsde/dotpups

Hope that helps

Sure. Most of the X11 themes follow the same format. How do you know it isn't in EZpup-2 already??? :P
So, cb88, did you get what you wanted in terms of mouse cursor themes? Just curious. :P

Yeah,I like the transparent ones then there is that weird crooked one that brings on some laughs "look his pointer is crooked" it look crazy haha!!
I did not see the one from PCLinux the "busy" indicator is this blue thing that circles around the pointer. lose the fat one it is kind of well clunky to say the least unless you are trying to get people to laugh at your the only "bloated" part of your OS haha.
I want transparent windows too how can I get those?

There are 3 from PCLinuxOS. The one you are thinking of is Wonderland. It has a dotted blue circle that orbits the pointer when busy. That's the default for PCLOS.

The fat, crooked pointer is Gantt and matches the Gantt icon set that some Puppy's are using (not me, but hey EZpup is for everyone, right?).

There is only the one semi-transparent "window" and that is from mrxvt, compiled by Gekko and posted here on the forum.

Hope that helps.

Which can be found in a snap and installed using MU's software installer.

On my system, the transparency option does not work in mrxvt.

For this reason I wrote a script to set any terminal transparent:

EzPup suggested theme

by 4ebees
Hi there,

A theme I would love to see would be Gartoons (used as the default in the Edubuntu distro). My kids love this and I'd love to be able to install it easily in Puppy (don't know how to at present)

I've been installing Linux machines at my son's pre-school (P3s with 192Mb RAM - brilliant). My child's pre-school is a not-for-profit, community-based service. I'm on the committee. It's taken a while (three years and I've got three more to go - three kids :)) to convince them to go with four 'nix machines for the children.

The kids really like using the 'nix machines (previously had very underpowered machines with W98 installed) because of the fun presentation and the great games (eg. Gcompris) etc.

So, I'd like to be able to theme Puppy with the Gartoons look, which is the theme used on the desktops, remaster the disks and then give away some disks and sell others at fund-raising events; promotion for Linux... and money for the pre-school. Bonus!

So, that's my suggestion (and plea :)) for an EzPup theme.
