The latest how2.0 column is about building a 72$ PC they chose DSL and didn't mention puppy that is a shame since the 500mhz 128mb ram celeron booting from usb would be perfect for puppy.
I e-mailed the columnist a discription of puppy and some pic w/ beryl and EZpup.

I thoroughly enjoyed the 72$ PC article however you failed to mention Puppy Linux (www.puppylinux.com www.puppylinux.org and www.murga-linux.com/puppy) in my opinion it has demonstrated itself to be much better in computability with a very broad range of hardware it detects my very old laptop's touchpad while DSL does not. While this pc is very cheap I would like to see continuing articles with links to hardware I can buy cheaply in the 75$ 150$ and 200-250$ range I suspect that a 250$ PC would be capable of running Beryl in Puppy Linux. I have attached a pic of my PC bought for 350$ a year ago running Beryl and Puppy Linux. The first screenshot is of puppy running beryl window manager (windows become totally 3d they can wobble/jiggle explode/implode and much more) it even runs on my old nvidia Geforce2 400MX 64Mb video card (vista I laugh at you ha ha..). The second screenshot is of Puppy Linux with the EZpup addon that can be downloaded and then installed in just a few easy click try it out yourself. also installed in both is the open office addon and mplayer. Puppy Linux can play DVDs and has Flash 9 right out of the box. Puppy Linux has been demonstrated running on the oqo2 ompc running from usb and is very lightwieght I run it on a 300Mhz laptop w/ 64mb no problem(this includes EZpup addon).
