Which Puppy for Samsung NC10 netbook?

#1 Post by canonite »

I have acquired a Samsung NP-NC10 netbook that I would like to bring back life. Which Puppy or Puppy Derivative would work best on it please? I believe it has an Intel Atom N270 / 1.6 GHz CPU.

A lot of them would probably work.

A good one to start with is Tahrpup 6.0.5.
It is very new user friendly and has good support.

Others listed will probably also work.

All versions of Puppy are different in some way.
You really have to try some to find one you like and works best on the hardware.

Only use a 32bit Puppy.
This processor does not support 64BIT.
If a Puppy does not have 64 in the name it is 32bit.
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected
YaPI(any iso installer)

There is also AtomicPup-18. This is actually designed for netbooks with Atom Processor. You will need to burn the iso to a CD.
