Wine 1.0 and Wine 1.1.23
thanks for keeping up
thanks for keeping up with wine for us wolf pup. but I swear that none of the programs i have run with wine really need opengl.
wine 1.1.3 segmentation fault
this 1.1.3 gives me a segmentation fault just trying to run winecfg, on both 4.00 and 4.06. 1.1.2 and previous versions have run fine, on this thinkpad t22. No programs would run either on 4.06; i haven't tested anythign else yet on 4.00.
Try re-downloading wine, since corals mirrors need to be updated first which could take awhile.

You might want to re-download 1.1.3, wine was re-uploaded a few days ago to fix the crashing.MU wrote:strange, 1.1.3 is the first version, that crashes with a segfault in Muppy 0084.
I then installed the slackware 10.2 package from winehq.org, that works.

Missing dependencies upgrading Wine1.0 rc4 to Wine 1.1.4
Petget reports four missing dependencies upon successfully installing Wine 1.1.4 pet over existing Wine 1.0 rc4.
Wine still runs the only Windows app I have installed - Irfanview 3.98 - but I wonder whether I'll have problems with other apps down the line?

Wine 1.1.5 in Slack repo
Dear Wolfpup,
I see you have been very busy compiling and uploading packages. Many thanks. I checked the Slackware repo today and found the following today:
http://repository.slacky.eu/slackware-1 ... 86-1ms.tgz
After downloading it, I turned it into a pet and installed, as I had done a few times in the past, on my Puppy 3.01 system. Unlike your last wine pet (1.1.4) this one complained in winecfg that I had a Jack driver key in the registry, since there was no Jack driver in the Slack wine package. I was surprised. I am waiting for you to post an updated wine (1.1.5) to see whether the Jack driver will be there.
With kind regards,
vovchik

Noob here. First post.
Just a note that Visual Basic 5.0 appears to be up and running under WINE on a 2 GB flash drive. There are a couple quirks, which I will report in the next few days. For better or worse, WINE is the key to whether or not I will be able to completely ditch Windows, because there are a few Windows programs that I just can't live without -- geeky engineer stuff. But it seems encouraging so far.
Thanks for putting the PET file together, and for all of the helpful instructions. I am getting dependency errors too, but they don't seem to be crippling.

Was the "HTML Rendering Disabled" problem ever resolved?
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 842#191842
If not, can someone point me to an old Wine-0.9.59.pet, seemingly the only Wine able to run Gecko with no problems in Puppy.
Thanks,
Battleshooter
