As for this evening: Saturday 21st. A clear sky and a beautiful astronomical conjunction of Mars and Venus, with a crescent moon above and to the left. As I was setting up the shot, a bright white light appeared out of the North-West. It was the International Space Station (ISS). A long slow exposure captured the thin streak as it traversed across the upper horizon. Enclosed a screen-capture from Orbitron (Winblows freeware) as validation of both place and time.

A neighbor of East London called Martin Le-May has captured this stunning photo that you can see the two animals in flight in a park Esssex (England). In it you can see a tiny Mustela a kind of dwarf weasel- back of a woodpecker.

Although at first glance our mind influenced by the cartoons we want to believe they are having a good time and are traveling to a great adventure, the reality is much more dramatic: the Mustela is trying to kill the bird to eat.

Le-May, an amateur photographer, instant defines as "the struggle of life." As explained Buzzfeed, the scene took place in Hornchurch Country Park.

At first it was not aware of what was happening, he just pointed his camera at a green flash that seemed like a tiny bird. Only when I saw the bird fell to the ground, he understood that something bad was happening to him."I realized I had a Mastela over, he was trying to bite him. Suddenly, the attacker was misled second and the bird flew away from the scene. "

Le-May ensures that the animal was not even hurt, and that the weasel ran fast to hide.

Green woodpecker - Picus viridis. Weasel - Mustela nivalis. Helps with ID, as some common names mean different animals in different countries. :D

@musher0. Thinking along the line of tasty snacks, here is a very pleasant pheasant which was encountered sunbathing on my morning stroll. We wished one another 'Good Morning' and both wandered on our separate ways.

A Island full of cats... with cat dander allergy it sound like a nightmare. Plus I'd be swamped trying to eat my fill of real Japanese sushi. They Texas-ify the sushi here with jalapeño peppers and soft cheeses.. Its not bad, just not real.
