Can I assume the fd-arm.sfs can replace the existing file in my SD card? It seems to work OK when I tried it.
Also, has anyone had success with the sound on the RCA ports (or HDMI for that matter).
Nice work james,

wonder if fatdog would work as an app on Android. saw that some others can be ran this way.
If you try to use the RAM layer feature (in other puppies, it is called as pupmode=13 mode), where you run the savefile with a RAM layer as a buffer for your savefile, the saving will not work correctly. Files will be saved; but deleted/moved files often come back or shows up at their original location. Nasty.starhawk wrote:Just curious, what was the RAM bug? I can't find mention of it in the other thread...
Ted Dog, yeah why not. All you need is to extract the SFS into a writable filesystem image, mount it, then chroot into it.

Anyone try this on a BeagleBone Black, please?
The weewx folks have weather stations running on a BBB using Angstrom (kludgy) and unbuntu but I always try to stay with Puppy.

edoc,
In theory FatdogArm should work on the BBB as BBB meets the hardware spec required to run FatdogArm. You will need to build your own kernel and bootloader, though. The information is here: http://jamesbond3142.no-ip.org/wiki/wik ... gFatdogArm.
Take fd-arm.sfs, and one of the kernel package. Inside the kernel package, there is a kernel and initrd. Throw away the kernel and use the BBB-specific kernel instead. As for the initrd, open it, replace kernel-modules.sfs with the one for BBB-specific modules, and rebuild it.
Take those (the kernel, initrd, fd-arm.sfs) plus BBB bootloader, and use it to boot the BBB. I don't own BBB so I can't go more details than that, there should be enough information on BBB to get you going.
cheers!

FatdogArm on Odroid-U2. Based on Alpha4 with minimal modifications (there are stuff in alpha4 that will crash it if not fixed).

Hehehe, what kind of news are you expecting? I'm currently building FatdogArm beta with gcc 4.8.1 and glibc-2.18 - if that's what you want to hear. It will take a while though as it is a full rebuilt. (No, I don't just change glibc). Meanwhile, alpha4 is very usable. In fact I'm building the beta using alpha4starhawk wrote:@jamesbond -- any news on this, as of late...?

I thinks it's USD$25 flat rate, FedEx. Dang.. just not quite enough in my PayPal..pedro wrote:You can find the shipping cost just by checking out the items you want in the site shop.
If you have a RTL8188CUS based wireless adapter it should work without problems, it's supported by odroid, I think different chipsets may need extra work to run. James may help you better than me on this
