I was writing a small memo today and tried to check spelling after Abiword redlined a word. When I did that, the app locked up. I tried killing it through the console after identifying an abiword process number and that didn't work.
Finally, I tried closing it via the menu bar Abiword item and it did.
Have others experienced this?
Is there a fix?

Abiword + F7 = locked application
Abiword can be pretty fussy at times (double spacing/kerning, hiding letters at end of line, etc.). It may depend on a number of things: the font, the screen resolution, the abiword version, the compile, the Puppy version, the Xorg version...
So can you give us a few details about your machine, your video card, your RAM total, your version of Puppy and of abiword. Also the other programs that were running at the time.
