Heaven Can Wait

#1 Post by Bruce B »

It is now tomorrow in Australia, New Zealand and other important
places, anyone left behind?

I still have an hour and twenty minutes before it is 6:00 PM for me.
That is the exact hour and minute isn't it?

I never really thought about facing the end like this, typing posts to a
forum and all. Wondering if this should be an expression of love.

I'm going to spend this hour listening to music and napping. If the
world comes to an end, and I wake up a zombie and discover I
wasn't lifted on high, I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

If you never hear from me again, I suppose it is because I was found
worthy and carried onward to blue sky.

If this is the "other" place, I'm surprised there's good beer.

There is no content for post 5/21/2011

Not that anyone would call it, after all, no one may ever hear the messages.

tlchost,

It was up, maybe up and down, in the future.

For us it just another day.

Its the first day of the rest of their life. Imagine facing that one! After
the hope they'd be dead today.

Your back! Posting links, the whole works. And I thought I'd have
go find you in order to have the opportunity to say: I told you so!

I hope you are not a zombie. If you are not,

I hope you can find the spirit to say, "Mr. Bruce, you were not
mistaken about our guru."

At least your guru is not dead wrong, I mean dead in the literal
sense.

I suppose it would be a very humbling experience to misguide so
many people who believed and you, and you cost them so dearly.

He took a gamble again. This time the odds were better. At his
age, a better chance he would die of natural causes, before he
spent the millions he got on selling the end of the world.

Who would think - that would sell?

You won't die.
Yes I will.
But your time is not ready.
Yes it is!

So he worked out the day and time of the end of the world with
easy math, right?

Guess what I did? Yup, I figured out somethings also, using third
grade level math.

Exactly 50 percent of people are more credulous than the other 50
percent of people.

I also figured something else out with some easy math. If I had
only 4,000 credulous believers. They average only 20,000 per year
income. They give me only 10 percent of their income. I get
8,000,000 a year.

How much did you guys pull in 2009? 18,000,000. Or was it
80,000,000?

One thing nice about the religion business is - they don't have to
deliver the hells they promise.

Nuff for now.

Good thing I didn't believe in you. I'd have run up unspeakable
debts, bought a new car, lived like a rich man.

When we leave this world we can't take our riches with us, right?

We can't take our debts either, right?

SouthPaws,

If you are still around, I have good news for you. Your guru has given
you something to look forward to. You get a second chance to be
obliterated by the second coming.

Jesus H. Christ

Except for the fundamentalists, anybody knows Christ wasn't his last
name. It was something else. Wondering to myself, out loud.
