ther are quite a few html and other text files in puppy
Has anyone taken a look to see if ti would be wroth running them through an HTML compressor for example?
If we gain a few Ks it's not worth it, but if we gain dozens of K it might be worth doing.
This could be done as part of the pinsall.sh scripts in unleashed for example.
I don;t know if the same could be done to Tcl files, etc.. and if it's worth it, since people might actually want to read the source.
there are also some xpm files (icons mostly). xpm is not an efficient format, so I wonder if we could gain space by changing them to a different format.
I know those are details, but why try to find the smallest app to waste space on the non executable components ?

Question everything
I think there are important points here. A lot of users feel that Developers have all the answers. Which of course is true. Well usually . . .
I think it is EA Games who use the slogan "Question everything"
It does not mean you will always get an answer . . . but you will learn more from asking . . .
In many ways I feel this is part of the Puppy Ethos . . .
"What if?"
