I put this together for Puppeee - I wanted something unique. :)

From the feedback so far, it seems my sci-fi theme is a little too weird to be the default on Puppeee.

I've been using HaikuPup in the past and everyone likes that, but I don't want Puppeee to resemble Haiku by default.

I want it to look unique (but not so unique that I get complaint emails about it :) ) and not too much like any other puplet. Anybody have any suggestions?

You're gonna use same background and wm theme?

The background can be whatever. My only requirements are that it should be relatively simple and not distracting.

I'd like to use the same Icewm theme - but I can change the colors to match the background and icons.

Hmm, I just tried the iconset it doesn't look bad at all and it's certainly bit different then usual theme variations. Maybe if you find a nice background on which icons will look better or give subtle contrast between two, you could even leave the jwm theme.

Of course I can't really tell how it looks like on smaller screen, they will remain 48x48 on desktop right?

Hmmm it does look kinda cool with the KDE wallpaper. Maybe I'll see if I can make a similar wallpaper with mtPaint.

This one's supposed to be more "friendly" and "less" metallic, and not remind one of storm troopers. ;)

Yes. :P Try these from BluePal at DeviantArt. Less than 10Mb to download and icons are in SVG format which means you can use them as is or scale and save as PNG using GIMP. Best of all, BluePal's great work is always GPL. I was going to use his Blue set for DeepThought until Zigbert came up with his minimalist icons.

Enjoy!

Here's a Blacky theme for Puppy.

It should be possible given the number of icons in the archive to replace all Puppy's icons with these, but I've only made a theme here for the desktop icons.

Cool, nice one Grimoire man, looks good. Not too over powering. I think it's a keeper.
