Take a look around, in the meanwhile
Instead of sitting and waiting anxiously, I would advise to use Puppy 4ever or Fluppy... both of them seem quite promising!

Wow, I see people actually use this thing :) I think I'm gonna do another snapshot. I think I'll include that optional saves thing ... whaddya think, guys? I think it's less user-friendly than the automatic saving thing, only experienced user would appreciate that feature. By the way, any suggestio...

Martin, I just installed BrowserLinux 362. I wonder why this great intuition of yours did not get the right feedback and appreciation... BTW, after having installed Mplayer, it does not appear on the menu, and had to put a .desktop icon on the desktop for using it... It starts, even if I get a stran...

4ever Boot Configuration prevents me to choose extra SFS
Hi,
Puppy does not see the SFS files i put in /mnt/home. I put there both an SFS4 and an "old" SFS, but... nothing!
Not even the SFS converter seems to work... were both standard 3.2.1 bugs?

Hi!
Why did you not call your release Puppy 4ever 3.2 instead of forever 4.3.2?
Now it can be mistaken with ttuuxxx 4.3.2?
God, this 2010 is for sure the year of confusion for our beloved Puppy...

An idea for maximizing the impact of your work
ttuuxxx, I wonder if it wouldn't be better to release 4.3.2 and 2.14X not just as updates of legacy (which might be interpreted as obsolete) 4 and 2 series, but almost as they were new distros. As an example, instead of Puppy 4.3.2 and Puppy 2.14X you could call them T4X and T2X, highlighting for ea...

HI f00, Sorry for the belated response 4) sounds like the pupX 'screensaver' kicking in - normally blanks the screen after like 10 min (600 sec) of inactivity. Puppy is green by default (and to save laptop batts) I fully agree on blanking the screen for sparing energy, that is why I mentioned the ma...

Compaq Presario 14XL250
This thread is a great idea. At your list you can add my Compaq Presario 14XL250, bought in year 2000. It has a Celeron 600MHz chip, 184M RAM + 8 RAM for the Video (64 original + 128 added), Trident Cyberblade video card, Chipset VIA PLE133. On the internet it is possible to find some specs and some...

If you look in the menu, an entry for the package is likely to be there, unless it says otherwise when you installed it. Have to restart jwm? or x? for it to be there. Thanks for your answer. Sadly enough there is no trace of any installation, apart from the .pet packages shifted (or copied) to &qu...

ttuuxxx wrote I just figured at the time of my previous post is that puppy 5 is out and that the current users of series 4 would be happy with that, If not I'll continue 4.3.2 and also 2.14X since that release is almost at cult status ttuuxxx Yes, puppy 5 has gained a lot of attention, but I feel t...
