Love puppeee
I'm loving Puppeee; and it just keeps getting better. In fact, when I find something I'd rather have it have/do, it seems Jemimah does it before I mention it. I've just two requests that I'd like to make: -make a small calendar pop open (like on standard puppy, and has an Osmo to open tab) when the ...

chrome updated?
Hey, thanks for including Openbox!! I hope it becomes the default for Puppeee. I've been using it on the previous 4.50332 beta you put out; and it is superior in form and function to jwm or icewm; it's clean, sharp, and quick. Also, just a quick question: chrome was having trouble connecting to gmai...

nice, but seamonkey doesn't display images
So, I'm liking your work; I use Puppies 4.31 all the time. However, I'm still waiting for something to happen so that I can use Seamonkey as my default browser. It can't display some images; for example, on Picasa. See screenshot. So, I'm one of those who (despite how nice you've make SM) have to pr...

can't find eee-435.sfs
jemimah, Thanks for your response. You're right, of course, there shouldn't be a need to change anything about the entry in my grub menu; all i did was replace the old files with the new ones... and yet, i have this problem "can't find eee-435.sfs." And it doesn't matter is i put pdev1 and...

boot error - cannot find eee-435.sfs
Hey guys, Don't know if I've missed some change I need to make in grub for my frugal install of puppeee; i haven't been keeping up with the thread lately. But i decided to update to the latest beta, now i get the error at boot "cannot find eee-435.sfs" and, of course, it then fails to boot...

eeepc 1000he works great
Jemimah
Tried latest version of pupeee and previous problems (pwireless2 required 2 attempts and firewall wizard failed) are fixed.
Thanks a lot for doing this. I really am looking forward to replacing eeebuntu on this 1000he with pupeee.

pupeee 4.31 beta2 on 1000he
Just wanted to let you know, I did get some time to test the beta2 on my eeepc 1000he. Positives: 1-Pwireless2 works well with my ralink chip, connects to my 64 bit WEP connection, usually takes two tries. 2-Wireless connects automatically at reboot!! 3-elantech touchpad works fine. Negative: -the f...

ralink trouble
Was able to test just a little bit with the Ralink card in my 1000he. Same problem as jtouso. I'm notified at start up that my wireless must not be enabled in bios, though it is. So, I first did iwconfig and saw that my ra0 was listed, but it seems to be using a different driver that the stock 4.31 ...

ralink drivers in 1000he and acpi
Just wanted to chime in as an eeepc 1000he user. I've not been following your thread, so don't feel the need to respond if you've already addressed these concerns in your Puppeee 4.31. I love puppy linux, been using it for at least four years straight, but now that I've bought a 1000he, I find mysel...

Tempestuous, Thanks for your response. can't connect 1000he to secure wireless connection
Hey guys, Despite not posting in a long time, I've been consistently using puppy for the past four years... well, that was until I got my cool little 1000he. Unfortunately, despite tempestuous's terrific efforts, I've not been able to get my machine connected wirelessly in puppy. In Puppy 4.2, 4.2.1...

blinky and absvolume bugs
I tried to diagnose the blinky and absvolume tray bugs. I replaced /root/jwm-tray in Deeper Thought with the one from 4.12. It fixed the problem with absvolume, but didn't help with blinky. I noticed that there is no call in jwm-tray for 4.12 for absvolume, yet it appears in the tray anyway and work...

weird tray stuff in 4.2 deeper thought
Hey ttuuxxx, I'm really happy with your tweak to 4.2. Just one annoying thing... some weird stuff happens in the tray when I click to adjust volume, a white space appears next to the button on the tray rather than an actual volume adjust. Also, similar problem when right clicking on Blinky to set op...

package manager hangs
I've also had the package manager hangs when trying to download... well, when i was attempting to download libstdc++.so, the only attempt i've made. The orange dialog came up, but was never able to connect to ibiblio or nluug or any other. It seemed to be trying to connect to an odd IP address: 0.0....
