You will need to know the ip address of your printer. Most routers use the address ranges 10.1.1.1 or 192.168.1.1 If you know the address of yo...

You may have to put a command in /etc/rc.d/rc.local: but read about this file first.

What is your wireless setup and how do you have Puppy installed. I have an EEEPC 701SD and a wireless access point to my network and have no problems. I am using pupeee 431. When you say you have to ' manually re-enable it' do you mean the wireless settings on the machine or the actual internet conn...

All I can say is backup your files first. Just create a new directory and copy the files into it, then try to zip them in that directory this will leave the originals in their own directory. You can create a new directory in Rox by right clicking in an open directory and selecting 'New' / 'Directory'.

Bruce B, Thanks for your replies to my posts and thanks for pointing out all the things that you have tried to do in this post to help someone who has not really found an answer to his problem. I put this down to his impatience and can only say that he has been rude to you and all the people who hav...

Do you have PlayOnLinux downloaded to the flash drive, if so you can open it using XArchive found at Menu/Utility/XArchive archiver. Before you open it just click on the .tar.gz file first and the archiver should open, click on Extract and extract the files to the same directory. I would recommend t...

Bruce B I appreciate your efforts at sarcasm and also your efforts to help a person who is a little bit impatient but saying that they are a Ubuntu user should establish some credibility. People who are not satisfied with Windows products sometimes turn to Linux to find solutions to their problems t...
