Best Puppy Solution for local network file & printserver?
I have a local office network, part of the company's greater WAN, that needs a print server and a file server to allow backup of users files. Thoughts on best / easiest Puppy solution?

What is the chance of getting a r8192se_pci module (driver) for lupu (Puppy 5.00) for the 2.6.33.2 kernel? I tried compiling one from source and the make failed. The reason I ask is that I now have a Toshiba laptop with AMD dual core processor, 4 gigs ram and 320 gig hard drive currently running Wi...

OK, installed the pet, rebooted, now the driver shows up, but when I try to use it, I get a driver not found error. Also, when I shut Puppy down, I'm getting some sort of directory not found error now, but it is so quick I can't really catch what it is saying. lspci -n output is: 00:00.0 0600: 1022:...

Realtek 8192/8192SE Wireless
Love the whole idea of this Puppy, and the look, but can't get my Realtek 8191SE wireless card to work. The one .pet I've found seems initially to install, but then when you try to use it, the system 'can't find' it! The windows driver loads, but after loading has some sort of subdirectory error. Th...

If anyone has any version of ANY Linux that they have got wireless working on this combination, I'd love an iso! [64 bit if I have a choice <grin>]

Grub requiring manual install?
When trying to install 4.31 and variants, such a Lighthouse, after installing the software, instead of getting the 'old' semi-automatic Grub install, I'm getting the 'you can install Grub manually now,' which I have not had much success doing...

Will do my best here. The Mariner SFS has a version number '_443.sfs', so need to rename it w/o the '_443' so that NOP or other Puppy versions can see it. I've only tested it with LHP so I don't know if/how it will work. LHP's GoogleEarth doesn't work for me either, yet. Thanks for letting me know....

Thanks, TazOC- FAT32 on USB,have tried every possible install option. Just tried NOP, new version, installed using Unetbootin.. and it seems to work fine, where 'plain' Puppy, the Lighthouse version, the E17 version, and a few others all had problems no matter how installed. I have no clue what the ...
