myGtkMenu with menu generating script

Hi all, Frustrated about not having an independant menu which looked pretty, I've create a script to generate a menu for myGtkMenu. It sorts the .desktop icons based on the xdg hierarchy file, so everything should look cool and nice. If any programs fall outside the hierarchy file, then they are ass...

Re: distro watch

At present my wish is that it eventually reaches the point that it gets an official release. It deserves that much. Yes... totally!!! I wish Saluki had been based on Ubuntu binaries!!! Then we'd have a huge repo to get stuff from. I know there is Lucid and various Upup derivatives, but I love the i...

Hi OP, I've used puppy 4.00 to 5.28 and all have been rock solid. There have been times when a hard power off can corrupt the user file and cause all sorts of dramas.... no task bar, web browser goes blocky.. etc. I'd recommend using Microsoft's Ram tester to rule out any hardware issues first which...

In reply to Out-foxxed Why don't you just add the line [ -d /usr/lib/firefox ] && LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/firefox:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH to your etc/profile file It's too easy!!! Just do it!!! It'll fix it permanently..... Forget about copying library files or symlinking.... Just declare your Lib...

No idea nubc,

I found most commercial dvd's have some sort of encryption... some rippers fair better than others.... If one doesn't work, I just try something else... it don't bother me what copy protection scheme they use.

Hi all,

I just did micko1's suggestion of adding the line

[ -d /usr/lib/firefox ] && LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/firefox:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH

to my etc/profile file.

Works a treat and I do not have to worry about always symlinking after every update.

Hope it works for you... cheers
