Hey, thanks. I did try the thing with alsa mixer, but it didnt work, it only showed 4 option (yes I did try going far right, there really were only 4), There was a mic, it was set to full, and not mute, but wouldn't work anyhow. curiously, when we put in the headphones, it just carried on using the ...

Hiya I am trying to set up puppy (booting from disk) onto my wife's laptop, but I cant seem to get hold of the mic or headphone slots, ( I am relatively new to puppy, and am really liking using it. I figure the problem is missing drivers, I am not sure how to test what drivers are needed. the comput...

Sorted

Ok, got it solved.

The Igain, seems to be the one I need for the input, and the mic, for the output. so if mic is up, the mic is going to the speakers directly, but if Igain is up then it sends the mic signal into the system.

thanks for your help guys.

This Leaving behind old computers

In a recent change in the kernal it seems to me that many old computers were dropped from the kernal build. This makes newer puppies unavailable on older machines. I am still new to using puppy, and linux in general. My understanding is still very limited. But if puppy has an aim to be available for...

I can almost make out what I say if I really strain my ears. How can I make this more pleasant for my ears? thanks. Comp specs Dell...

Just that I was hoping to get webcam drivers working for my camera which is relativily new. its not a major issue, but would be helpful. I am still learning the ideas of linux, and dont understand that much about building. I would like to learn, but its gonna take some time. I'll try out this slaxer...

Almost there

Ok, so if I could get hold of a build where these are included then I might be able to run it. Could it be possible to just change the kernal on the iso, and therefor get it running. ( I guess this would look in my mind something like taking the kernal for puppy 4.2.1 and putting it where it would h...

cool

hey, so that worked great,

does the default change,

the -c option is for resuming other programs files, but I found in the man pages a --enable-http-keep-alive=true,

which I have put in that file now, however I am yet to see if that does what I hope it does.

thanks
