I'd open the files with the Seamonkey HTML editor and cut and paste.

acpitool help shows options for s3 and s4 sleep but no s1. I'm using a a puplet based on 4.2 and the 2.6.29.1 kernel patched for SMP and RT.

I think you could edit the pages with Seamonkey Composer. Copy and paste into a new html file.

S1 Sleep

About the only thing that keeps me switching totally over to Puppy is the lack of S1 sleep. Any possibility of this?

You might want to try the Puppy 4.2 RT-SMP puplet. I run it on a dual core laptop and desktop as well as a Quadcore desktop with no issues.

I made the sfs with the new kernel version. It says it's Creating little endian 3.1 filesystem when I make the sfs. I think the problem is with the initrd.gz made by Unleashed using a different version of squashfs. it seems there are 3 versions of squashfs in the Unleashed folder. 3.1r2, 3.2r2 and 3...

Hi aragon, initrd.gz is set to unionfs, I just tried it set to aufs for a test.

Thanks aragon. But the new version of squashfs-tools does nothing, still can't mount 421`.sfs. Which version of squashfs does Unleashed use for 4.2.1?

I cannot say enough good things about the Firepup pet. It's based on an older version of Firefox, (I think 1.5), but plays flash video out of the box. Light and fast, you should try it.

This definitely has something to do with squashfs. Unable to mount pup_421.sfs with new kernel on full install. Any idea of the squashfs version in 4.2.1? Is it 3.3?

I have a feeling this has something to do with the version of squashfs. I tried booting with the initrd.gz set for aufs. Predictably it said aufs not found, but also something about the squashfs version. Sorry, I don't remember what exactly. I think the version used to compress the pup_421.sfs is di...

4.2.1 frugal install won't boot after kernel upgrade

Wanted to upgrade the kernel in 4.2.1. Worked O.K. in the full install. Won't boot from frugal. Updated modules in pup_421.sfs. Made new initrd.gz with Puppy Unleashed using new kernel source. Edited initrd.gz for unionfs. Installed new vmlinuz. This method worked for me upgrading 4.2. When I go to ...

Can't view or edit contents of pup_421.sfs - Solved

Can't view or edit contents of pup_421.sfs using edit_sfs.pet or just mounting the sfs. When I right click for Properties it shows 4096 B as the file size. Downloaded iso md5sum checked out O.K. Frugal install boots O.K. Just can't mount or edit the pup_421.sfs
Edit: Nevermind, got it sorted out. :)
