Please note that the site is up but is not currently accessible.

The domain name shows as having expired on May 18 2015 at 01:44PM

A wget request to what should be an empty directory returns a flag.txt
file with the following content.
Code:
<html>
<head>
<meta name="robots" content="noarchive" />
<meta name="googlebot" content="nosnippet" />
</head>
<body>
<div align=center>
<h3>Error. Page cannot be displayed. Please contact your service provider for more details.  (2)</h3>
</div>
</body>
</html>

Edit: PM sent to russoodle.

@All,

Yesterday I created a couple of extra folders intending to populate them each with a small file (4bytes) but ran into the attached error message.

Removing a 300 meg old ISO did not help.

Thanks for the heads-up, ETP…and apologies to you and other users for the inconvenience of not being able to upload your files.. Sad

Unfortunately, that message is doubtless correct…i simply cannot afford to upgrade for more disk space, the low aussie dollar is a nightmare! I have no wish to close down the site per se, but i will have to make other arrangements and they will probably take a few days to get sorted.

This is a change i probably should have made ages ago when our dollar first hit the deck, but i was reluctant to move away from the VPS, hoping things would change in the near future…but they ain't.

So sorry guys - i know it's just not good enough (at least the domain is safe for more than another year!)

Embarassed

Russoodle, if it would help, you can eliminate my profile/share and delete everything in it.

I no longer remember my password and anything stored on there is going to be so outdated as to be useless anyways. I haven't used it in probably a year or two, so it's high time to take out the garbage Wink

@ ally, thank you….replied to your PM Smile

@starhawk: thank you for the offer, but it'd take more than eliminating the small space you're using Wink Apart from which, i don't want to lose your or anybody else's work - it's all worth something in my view and belongs to this community Smile (if i can't hoard in my house, i'll hoard puppylinuxstuff Laughing )

I can fish out your password if you wish, or provide a new one when i get this all sorted..

cheers!
russoodle

Subject description: ..but changes imminent

Ok, some of you might think "Why all the fuss? What's so hard about having to quit one server and pop back up on another one?" Most of the difficulty i've been having can be attributed to my state of health, which i won't bore you with.

What will be happening is that puppylinuxstuff will have to move from the VPS to a shared server, for financial reasons, as i'm sure some of you might guess. I'm paid up to the end of November, so i have that time to set up a new site.

If no-one has any objections, i'll probably leave pretty much everything on the archive site that ally has populated for us, and use links to point to those files (that's gonna be fun!!). I will open another puppylinuxstuff site and make it available for storage of more recent and current files - it was never my intention or wish to close the original site and walk away. Accounts will be available as before for those who want them. If any of you would like your files kept in their original place, please let me know - i'm happy to have you now, as before.

I'll post again when these changes take effect and i do apologise for the inconvenience.

Cheers,
russoodle
