Sub_title: Why two Firefoxes in my Puppy's menu?

Any idea why I have two Firefox options?

Both open Firefox ESR v31.7.0

Hi, mgolden.

Open file /usr/share/applications/firefox.desktop in your text editor. You
probably have two or more entries on the line beginning with "Categories".
Keep only one. like so:
Quote:
Categories=X-Internet-browser

Save your *.desktop file and quit your editor.

Then open a terminal and type
Code:
fixmenus
jwm -restart

Right-click on the ROX backdrop to check your jwm menu. You should
now have only one entry for firefox in the jwm menu.

I hope helps. BFN.

The file /usr/share/applications/firefox.desktop looks ok with a single Categories=X-Internet-browser entry.

What the problem is appears to be a second file named /usr/share/applications/mozilla-firefox.desktop

I have deleted /usr/share/applications/mozilla-firefox.desktop

and run:

fixmenus
jwm -restart

All is well now.

Thanks for your help! Very Happy
