PostPosted: Mon 06 Apr 2015, 17:32    Post_subject:  Graphical GRUB/GRUB2/GRUB4DOS Setup for booting PUPPY Linux

This is a request for anyone with the skills to bring this to PUPPY as either a PET or SFS.

The premise is that after testing in Puppyland, it could be embraced where it will show up in WOOFCE for all developers to have access when building their PUPs.

Over the years there have been many request for assistance (and understanding) the inter-workings of the GRUB/GRUB2 boot process from many PUP users, both, experienced and new regarding definition issues for booting PUPs.

This single utility appears to provide a manner which will reduce/eliminate much to many of those questions as it provides, thru viewing, what potentially will occur when PUPPY will subsequently boot. It provides a view of structure and it seemingly adds clarity for much of the boot process even though it is general purposed.

QUESTION
Would anyone with skills, please consider providing this tool, "GRUB Customizer" for evaluation and test, here in Puppyland, if you can?
Note: This request ask that the person making this available to make it available in a thread under the "heading of your choosing". This way, should future needs appear, all can be corralled in that single thread.
Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help

Edit: mistyped a important word...GRUB

It only mentions GRUB2 and BURG.

I don't see any mention of Legacy GRUB or Grub4Dos.

Have you looked at BSME?

GRUB2 is not all that popular in Puppy Land, maybe has it's nose in front of UEFI.

Thanks @Smokey01, I still am a user of the good work you and others did with MultiPUP.

GRUB Customizer
It appears to have some issues that will need its developers to possibly address after we test it. I did see where one commenter felt this link "beautifies" it a bit.
