i need help with the scanner and the printer
i just cant get cups to print to it it says completed but the printer just sits there like nothing happened :roll:

Have you read How to Install your Printer/Scanner in Puppy? It's posted at the top of this section.

It links to a section devoted to Canon printers.

Have you installed a Canon driver yet?

In the CUPS setup, what Canon model did you pick?

Canon MG2100 series Ver.3.60 thats the driver from the cannon's asia site and thats also what the model is listed as in cups

Have you read Canon Printer Drivers - Updated 2014?

The Canon page gives you two ways to install a printer in Puppy - the candi method and a ready-made PET for the MG2100 series.

What method did you use? Did you try to install the Debian packages just by clicking on them?

and yes i tried clicking in the Debian packages.

when you get that pet back up let me know
because if i can just install a pet it would make my life and job easier.

That doesn't work. That's why the candi method is necessary.

The forum no longer allows large PETS. You must use the candi method.

printer works!

now, finally ill have a proper OS sticker on my tower
puppy linux! 8)

that just leaves the scanner :roll:

This tool can also install Canon scanner drivers, which use Canon's own ScanGearMP scanning program.
