This is an extremely interesting smartphone. I have reported about it on my blog:

http://bkhome.org/news/?viewDetailed=00178

I thought that I would start this thread, as perhaps you guys might see some possibilities.

We can also post updates here, as the phone progresses.

With specs like that (5"screen/2.5quad/3Gb/21+13MP cameras) how ya gonna power it? Does it come with an inverter on wheels? Honda petrol genny? Reminiscent of those big old MkX Jags - need a petrol station on every corner to fix and fuel it.

My Samsung Mega has even larger screen and Quad core. The battery is bigger of course due to more room available so it balances out size problem. Recharge about every 18 hours, but battery can be easy swapped if needed.

That reminds me - got a perpetual energy machine patent pending. Wonder why they haven't accepted it yet?

lol sounds like a geeky way of explaining high temperature cracking which is not hard to do with the correct controls. I have three such devices one for a 20K generator, turns any carbon and water into gas to burn in generator.
Most cities also have one to process your paper and plastic "recycling" that no one can get to cost effectively recycle. At least its better than burning your own trash at low temperatures. Very Happy

Follow the money on that project... Its a greenwash by a large energy corporation, which has also bought out other types of solar type "generator" companies. Last year.

look up the open source ish GEK project. for the price of the class you could buy your own, or build your own with free plans.

BarryK, you might find this to be consistent matching topic items you mentioned; with the flex-booting and touch options that this offers in a state-of-the-art dress.

How about a liquid cooled phone

http://gizmodo.com/liquid-cooling-for-seriously-overkill-smartphones-1691670989

you'll be thrilled about Fujitsu's new technology for a liquid-cooled smartphone. It's a bit like putting your car's radiator into your phone—a cool idea even if you probably wouldn't need it.

Fujitsu's new "loop heat pipe" transfer system would attach to a smartphone or tablet's CPU. The rig is less than one millimeter thick but would still be able to pump a liquid coolant through your phone's guts to dissipate heat. The company explains:

A working fluid is encapsulated inside this closed loop as a coolant. The heat from the heat source evaporates the coolant, and the energy that goes into evaporating the coolant is taken away from the heat source, lowering its temperature. It is based off of the same principle used when sprinkling water on pavement to reduce heat.

Great way to get a tan inside your ear lobe. And it's not even April 1st, yet. Of course, they've been doing it in laptops for years and folks still haven't seen the joke.
