slimjet - problems playing many video clips-SOLVED

#1 Post by mow9902 »

I like slimjet - but cannot get it to play many videos. I've tried following all the directions on the slimjet site but still no go. eg I cannot play the clips on this fox news site
https://video.foxnews.com/v/59769403540 ... show-clips

My system is tahr 6.0.2

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hey Champ, tell the folks @ home which version you're running.

The page you referenced plays fine for me aboard v21.0.2.0..

Plays fine for me running v21.0.3.0 (peebees slimjet_lxsc_spot_21.0.3.0.sfs). I'm in the current LxPupSc right now. I did have some issues with the Slimjet versions between 18.0.5.0 and 20.0.4.0 on some sites so I skipped those...
Pups currently in kennel :D Older LxPupSc and X-slacko-4.4 for my users; LxPupSc, LxPupSc64 and upupEF for me. All good pups indeed, and all running savefiles for look'n'feel only. Browsers, etc. solely from SFS.

6.0.2, huh? Sketchy....

Earlier Tahr builds had issues until they reached 6.0.5.. the "standard" as I see it.

I think this cat runs 6.0.2.

I wonder if your page flies on their setup?

Thanks Semme - tahr version 6.0.2 was not the only problem - but definitely the main problem. Once I upgraded to 6.0.5 and added the appropriate (newer) version of ffmpeg to match slimjet chrome 70 engine ...all starting working.

I appreciate the assistance.

BTW - this also solved the same video problem I was having with vivaldi.
