Audacious 3.6

I compiled Audacious 3.6 (2015-02-28 ) in Precise Puppy 5.7.1

audacious-3.6-i686-precise.pet

GCC 4.6.3 won't compile this so I used GCC 4.7.3.

I compiled the latest version of libneon, because the HTTP plugin was not working.
neon-0.30.1-i686-precise.tar.gz
( ./configure --prefix=/usr --with-ssl=openssl --enable-shared )

I added the following libs from Ubuntu Precise:
libcue1_1.4.0-1_i386.deb
libfluidsynth1_1.1.5-2_i386.deb
libmms0_0.6.2-2_i386.deb
libmpg123-0_1.12.1-3.2ubuntu1_i386.deb
libwavpack1_4.60.1-2_i386.deb

I also added my customizations.

With an XMMS skin, almost perfect. I guess the skin specs can be tweaked to make it look perfect...

So, that skin is corrupted I guess... I downloaded that skin from gnome-look.org.

However there is a fixed version, but without the Winamp logo

It's necessary to repackage since overwriting is not enough...

Here is a quick solution:

Code: Select all

rm -rfv /usr/share/audacious/Skins/Default
tar --directory=/ -zxf winamp-skin-classic.tar.gz
Perfect...

Hop, in my pocket, could be useful with some of my precise Puppys. one step backward to Precise, Because Puppies VI are going wrong way (FFmpeg and Mplayer kicked out)
Now i use version 3.7.2 in Xenialpup. But i intend to run a Precise 5.4.3 no Pae as LTS at home, and no longer loose my time with Puppies without Mplayer
I insert a Puppy precise and i feed back how your pet do at home (Triton 5.7.3 is just beside Xenialpup on my pendrive)

Et voilà !

I will suggest your version to Petihar, our french designer of Triton.

Had a look at your winamp theme, I used to make a lot of themes for Beep media player etc, 1338kb extracted, What I used to do to save on space etc is open gimp up and then each "bmp" image file I would open and resave it as "png" and then in the folder rename the png extension as bmp, I did that with your theme and it went from 1338kb--->180kb but when it compresses say as tar.gz png files don't compress as well, bmp-106kb png-125kb not all that much different anyways here's the files to save you a bit of time :)

LXpup Xenial And Audacious 3.6.2.
Puppy Linux and Mplayer were married together untill tahrpup arrived. Then Lot of apps are no longer serviceable. Here songs MP3 were not Found by Xenial before adding dependencies.
Norgo, thank you for doing a pet for us, with a red recording button :)

This Audacious version should work on a Puppy Slacko, as it goes well with my french Slaxen GTK2 (based on Slacko 5.9.3 01micko)
