Debian to a mate version that includes non-free firmware, i.e. go to http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/unoff ... rent-live/ and select either 64 bit (amd64) or 32 bit (i386) sub-directory, then iso-hybrid folder, then something like debian-live-8.6.0-amd64-mate-desktop+nonfree.iso file.

You could then use that as the base to install as per how I outlined here http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 639#915639 or (maybe ??) as how Fred outlined here http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... 966#928966
