Can't get Xorg to work in VMWare.

#1 Post by Gekko »

I can't get Xorg to work under VMWare, it justs freezes at a black screen, no mouse nothing. I am then forced to use Xvesa under 1024x768x24 which is boring :P Anybody know how to fix this? Also it tells me to install VMWare Tools by which it mounts the CD drive in Puppy to a .tar.gz file with that in it...

Yeah it does stall. When it stalls, press space bar twice and then press enter. You probably need to do this about three times. Then you get the xorg success and press ok.. it defaults to 640x480. install vmware tools then you can change it to 1024x768 or larger if you wish.
