Broken Links in the Tahr64 Help |
|
The ASH link in the programming section points to Leaf, not ASH webpage.
The gtkdialog3 links are broken, except for zigbert's page.
The puppylinux.com/hard-puppy link is broken.
The puppylinux.com/development/create-pet.htm is broken.
Hope this is helpful.

Hello
I am having problems with 1280x1024 resolution and intel 82Q35 express integrated graphics controller. Its on a dell optiplex 755, dual core 2ghz,2gb ram.
I realy like tahr so want it to work.
Tahr 605 with kernel 56 works on everything, except 1280x1024 res.
If I put on 3.4.103 kernel I get 1280x1024 but no network adapters at all.
Any chance of a fix for this please as tahr to me is by far the best.
Thanks

Which network adapters does 605 say are in use?

From the Tahr with a working network connection..
Copy'n paste from >> PupSysInfo >> Devices >> Network. Goto "File" >> Export current report.
Then >> Drivers >> Reports >> "Summary" and do the same.
PS -- It's helpful to know when you've posted elsewhere.
PSS -- On the version that network doesn't fly, do you see the same file/folders in my screen shot?

The driver's there, though not where I'd expect it. For whatever reason it's not loading.
Boot your 3.4.103 kernel system, dump both of the reports I requested and place them somewhere on your "home" partition so you can retrieve them from one of your systems where Internet works. It's otherwise impossible to tell what's loading from a system that isn't under boot.
*Small favor.. Thank you.

Who's responsible for the 32b repos MyPaint pet?
Code: | unxz: (stdin): File format not recognized
tar: This does not look like a tar archive
tar: Exiting with failure status due to previous errors |

Hi,
I get a problem when i want to print with a recent firefox, glabels and thunderbird, all gtk3 applications : when i want to print the software closes.
I get this error in the terminal Code: | /usr/lib/firefox/firefox: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/gtk-3.0/3.0.0/printbackends/libprintbackend-cups.so: undefined symbol: ippSetOperation |
It seems there is a compatibility problem between cups and gtk3.
Cups is in 1.5.3 version.
Thanks for your help,
Philippe
EDIT I'm with tarhpup 6.0.5 and all quickpet updates made.

I got the printbackends from gtk2 (from pup 5.7.1.) and that works for me .
I saw this problem in JudoShiai .

I figured out a trick with tahrpup and mouse integration in virtual box.
It works as follows.
1. Install guest addtions
2. "Right control key"+home key, then select input / mouse integration
3. Then press "cntrl-alt-backspace"
4. Then type xwin
This works in tahrpup 6.0.6 with full screen mode. I haven't tried it yet in the other modes yet. I think the problem is that the mouse integration has to start up before the x based desktop. Where virtualbox installs the start-up scrips, starts the mouse integration up too late in tahrpup. Fatdog64 doesn't have this issue.

I'm trying to add a user on tahrpup 6.0.6
Here is my command
Code: |
root# adduser --home /mnt/Freenet --gid 502 freenet --disabled-login
Warning: The home dir /mnt/Freenet you specified already exists.
Adding user `freenet' ...
Adding new user `freenet' (1003) with group `spot' ...
adduser: `/usr/sbin/useradd -d /mnt/Freenet
|
And in /var/log/messages
it says
Code: |
Dec 2 01:47:52 virtualTahr user.crit useradd: cannot open login definitions /etc/login.defs [No such file or directory]
|
I'll try creating the file and see what happens. It would be good though for me to better understand what is going on .
