that no right cilck paste is possible in terminal or console
To paste.
Click (push down) the scroll wheel, if the mouse has one, also works.

To copy just highlight.
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected :shock:

Is Tahr's firewall on (green)?

PTU, type: ifconfig into your terminal and hit enter.

There may be an "eth0," a "lo" and, or perhaps a "ppp0."

"How" is your connection seen?

Paste this into your terminal: ps aux > ~/ps_report.txt

You'll find it in /root where you can copy'n paste the results into this page.

Leave the link..

I've got the feeling its services aren't running.

Did you install LXTerminal?

No? Do it.

==

For PasteBin it's >> "New paste," then scroll down to the bottom and hit "Create new paste."

After the page loads grab the link from the address bar.

==

Here, does this return output with "bscapture" in its line?

Code: Select all

ps | grep bscapture
This definitely has to do with how BM sees your modem..

==

Hey WatchDog, you run a modem, correct?

Post if you can determine the holdup..

You know, I'll bet you need usb_modeswitch. I'll be back..

Do me a favor when you catch up.. Run: lsusb << A lowercase "L" starts this..

Then highlight the line for your modem, minimize the terminal, then center-clk to paste if you haven't yet installed LXTerminal.

==

PS -- You have one of these? >> /var/log/bitmeter/error.log

now I install LXTerminal
here is the link from pastebin >> http://pastebin.com/5CHgas9h

ps | grep bscapture return this >> 17260 root 0:00 grep bscapture

lsusb return this >> Bus 001 Device 006: ID 12d1:1436 Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. E173 3G Modem (modem-mode)

"/var/log/bitmeter/error.log" not present

Nice work Mate. :wink:

With LXTerminal you can not only copy'n paste much easier, but it's easy to control fonts, sizing and colors.

==

I've seen your PasteBin and bscapture return -- good.

The lsusb dump gives us your Huawei device ID >> [12d1:1436] << Good!

No error log confirms my hunch.. That it's not an issue with BitMeterOS.

==

While I do a little investigation, I'd like you to confirm the steps you took to connect with Tahr.

It was "Internet Connection Wizard," then "Dialup analog or wireless modem," correct?

yes right, It was "Internet Connection Wizard," then "Dialup analog or wireless modem," One interesting thing about tahr is that it automatically detect it as 3G usb modem but other like in lucid puppy, i need to configure it manually.

I have done frugal install, 32 bit
As far as I know bit meter os 0.7.6 is stable version and 0.8.0 is experimental version and tahr quick pet bit meter os is 0.8.0 version. So may be it has some bug that need to sort out.
