Had my hopes up for this. Got a Winfast 760GXK8MC motherboard running an AMD Sempron 3000+, and a NVidia GeForce FX 5500 graphics card.

But unfortunately, when I ran the snails animation benchmark test, it turned out that Flash on my Firefox ran even a bit slower with the add-on installed.

It's a browser based on firefox, but a hell lot better. Firefox technically is a browser for old computers that is just going downhill. Pale moon is for new computers and remains a decent browser.

(Firefox is basically a google {I mean screwgle) product these days and that's a big shame.)

Hi all...

I would be interested in this, too, except that the page tells me that the add-on is not available for Firefox 18 and I don't see any older versions listed. The fact that the page is in German is a bit difficult, too.

Regards...

Wow, this really works, and I'm running it on an ATI Radeon 7000 GPU from the year 2000.

*edit* Although, scrolling pages that contain activated flash elements is now slower.

Is this basically forcing acceleration when the autodetect refuses to do so cos yer card is not on the linux approved list?

Bigger problems with tablet friendly pages that don't work properly in PC browsers...paypal becoming unuseable at the mo.

It's also a problem (at least for me) with satellite (long Ping), definately worse than the straight flash.
