Does anyone know of a console which allows copy, paste etc

#1 Post by RickGT351 »

I came across a console which allowed copy and paste, which was very handy when using instructions from websites etc. It was on a puppy disro but I haven't been able to find it today. Does anyone know of such a thing and where I might find it?

lxterminal Should be in the repository.

The terminal that comes with precise does cut in paste, but it is some non-intuitive shortcut keys.

In the console terminal that comes with Puppy.

Copy- left click hold and highlight

Paste- middle button click

Also works to copy from terminal and paste to other programs.

Also if you use copy method that comes with other programs you can paste in terminal by middle mouse click.

If you do not have a middle mouse button.

Clicking the left and right buttons, at the same time, will have same effect as middle mouse button.

shift+insert will also work to paste.
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.

Hi...

I agree, this is a good terminal for copying and pasting. If it's not available in the repository of your version of Puppy, you can try downloading the .pet here. :)

Roxterm has been my second terminal for that very reason. Not sure if I tried the others listed above, but Roxterm works well enough for me.
