symlinking /root/.icewm

symlinking /root/.icewm

can i symlink /root/.icewm into /usr because .icewm gets big.

this is problematic, if you install further dotpups there.
When a dotpup extracts, it replaces all symlinks with folders, so you have a broken installation.

you can put anything that would go in /root/.icewm (or $HOME/.icewm) in /usr/share/icewm/

but /root and /usr are both stored in the same place anyway ... if you have space on a mounted drive somewhere, that would work

my .icewm folder is about 247k ... about 99k is in the themes folder ... you can easily move the theme folders, which are probably taking most of the space, and symlink them back in /root/.icewm/themes

o ya i forgot im useing puppy 2.01. I used 1.09 last time. Never mind.
