Subject description: TarPup beta to 6.02CE 32 bit only _FC updated 18 mars 2015

News:
#23 mars 2015
Included Hamish(link below) assembly2 module in:
5.1_freecad0.15+oce0.16+assembly2_git20150318_main_6.0.2.sfs
need:4_5_freecad-dev0.15deps_only.sfs
#18 mars 2015
Uploaded new sfs :5_freecad0.15+oce0.16_git20150318_main_6.0.2.sfs
need 4_5_freecad-dev0.15deps_only.sfs
#1 oct. 2014
Uploaded Heekscad 1.0.0 & heekscnc 1.0.0 sfs
(9.5Mb..but need oce.0.15++...or freecad+deps sfs)
picked from : https://launchpad.net/~neomilium/+archive/ubuntu/heekscnc-devel
Need almost the same dependencies freecad ( 0.14 or 0.15) with oce0.15(only) does + 6 small ones .
It got enough cam functions to do a lot, until freecad got his own cam module witch development is stuck & incomplete .
A great work in progress ,thank Mr Heeks.
https://sites.google.com/site/heekscad/news/linuxversion
Should eventually repack separated sfs of freecad - opencascade as this is require by heeks"suite" to complete my "portable" cnc/cad related softs ,should say half portable here...it still work only with tarh family puppies.
#21sept.2014
- uploaded new (git4054) daily builds (130Mb/both)
- in 2 separated sfs ,look for "4_freecad",
1 for main:freecad&oce
1 for dependencies:qt ,python,eigen+++++++++++
Why?;easier for me to repack
#8sept.2014
- add dxf import scripts. Copy scripts from the folder named :importdxfcopytoroot.FreeCAD to root .FreeCAD...as the name says...
Why?:https://github.com/yorikvanhavre/Draft-dxf-importer
___________________________________________________________________

Tested on :
-tahrpup 5.8.3 & rc1 & 5.8.4&6.0 CE ** NOTE:Qtlibs does NOT like upgraded savefiles ,work fine from fresh install .
-studio v2 OK .
(based on slack/O 13.37,but so much libs installed)
-else with negative test.. dpup, slacko :missing/misdirected/ libs or Qt version prob.
___________________________________________________________________

<***>Know problems&missing,n/a functions & possibles solutions:
lots
look online for changelog /todo or report/suggest some to devs...
Plenty of help and tutorials online.
It is very power/features full software .From tutorials fund for 0.14 ,I did manage without too much glitches to do whatever I tried to.

Again ,save often ..

Hi,
I am looking for Autocad replacement. Just some basic 2d stuff.

I have downloaded latest tahrpup rc1 iso.

When I click on your Google Drive link, I get.....

"500. That’s an error.

There was an error. Please try again later. That’s all we know."

could you please take a look.

Also out of five sfs you have listed what do you recommend.
What they do individually.
I am a linux noob. I have used Autocad previously. I don't know or used any cad software in Linux. I just need this to teach basic usage to my friend ( I hope it is similar to Autocad).

I mainly use Fatdog.
I am at work now. I will install tahrpup when I get home.

Thanks.

- Neeraj

Link should work now,sorry .

If you look for 2d cad only you could try LibreCAD ,its 2d only,of course 3d (Freecad, heekscad ,blender) or 2d DraftSight, etc. would do the job. I never used Autocad ,so, cannot guide you to your best bet in linux cad choices closest to it.

I agree the first post ,even if I tried to make it clear could be confusing, its a "work in progress" to improve explanations to what's what clearly. The autodidact jack of all trades I am is open to suggestions!

Happy learning Neeraj !

Hi
Could you detail how you compiled Freecad?
At present I'm using Slacko 5.9.3.
Thanks
Brendan
