Missing libgtop.s-2.0.so.7 in netactview -SOLVED

#1 Post by wimpy »

I've downloaded a Net Activity Viewer deb file and it seemed to install OK in Lucid 5.2.8 frugal. It said it was fixing the menu and to look under Utilities. Nothing of the sort! Eventually found the menu item in System > System Status and Config. It hangs, and running in a terminal says that libgtop-2.0.so.7 is missing. Searching brought up some links dating as far back as 2008, which no longer exist. I'd be grateful for any help in locating the appropriate library.

Yes. I wanted a Linux application that mimicked the Windows TCPeye, a program that I found invaluable for detecting whether you have unwittingly become part of a botnet. There have been reports that the NSA and others, recently, have been using botnets to cover their trawling of the internet.
