Solved keepassxc

#1 Post by tosim »

I hope I'm in the correct sub-section.
Running upupbb1805+14. For the most part, running OK, EXCEPT for the using of keepassxc. I found this in Puppy Package Mgr, and as I've been using this for several years(in Mint), installed it in my upupbb1805|+14. For whatever reason, it is listed in "System". It ran perfect the very first time, displayed, etc. However, I've never been able to get it to display again. I've deleted nd reinstalled several times but it never displays, but pop-up says it is running, and something about "changing to XOrg", or something like that. I've even gone to the apps download page and d/l'd both the puppy version, and the deb pkg, tried the install using them, all to no avail.
As I really need to use keepassxc, I'd really appreciate some help on this. Thank you all very much, in advance.

Hello.

My sympathies.

I'm no specialist at all of this program, but from experience with other apps,
it sounds as though a forgotten configuration file or perhaps a hidden data
directory for this program is lying around somewhere, and it is preventing
any new install.

I'm just saying; do not do anything yet, please wait for confirmation from
someone knowledgeable.

Does this popular app have a forum? If so, maybe someone there has had
the same problem as yourself and can suggest a way out.

Best of luck.

What's the output when starting keepassxc from terminal (open a terminal and type keepassxc and hit enter)?

Could help the experts probably...

KeePassXC

ATTN: ITSSMERSH-Thanks you for the reply; here's the terminal output:

QStandardPaths: XDG_RUNTIME_DIR not set, default to '/tmp/runtime-root'
Another instance of KeePassXC is already running.

Hope this helps, and thanks again.
