Re: Samba-4.1.8.pet
That's what a Samba server package does - it creates shares.stemsee wrote:Can someone please test this as I don't have any shares.
some issues on installation and system use
Attempted installation on Slacko570. Couple issues:Also tried this on EmSee-V2 and current SAMBA 3.6 is taken precedence. Thus new PET is not replacing current.
Just a note: When SAMBA installs on an existing PET, it needs to replace ALL installed SAMBA modules including the client modules that ship with most 32bit PUPs. I'm not exactly sure how 01Micko and Shinobar are doing so, but can only guess that it may be done in replacement, or system's pathing, or in symbolic links. This way all utilities which use SAMBA (client or otherwise) will be consistent within system operations. This would reduce developer/testers/user problem resolution of any component which makes use of SAMBA's facilities in the system.

that's great. Keep in mind the missing dependency indicated by gcmartinMoose On The Loose wrote:I have 528. I'll test it on my systems tonight

Re: Samba-4.1.8.pet
I didn't get any message about that. All I got was nothing at all.stemsee wrote:that's great. Keep in mind the missing dependency indicated by gcmartinMoose On The Loose wrote:I have 528. I'll test it on my systems tonight
It looks like you dont have the right directory structure in there. You don't have the init.d scripts. You do have a whole lot of stuff that looks like it isn't needed. Nothing is in the search path.
