Hello again, stemsee.

About wheezy getting old: according to -- https://wiki.debian.org/LTS --, debian wheezy
will be supported until May 2018, so for almost another 3 years.

So, I have updated EmSee-2nd-Edition to 3rd Edition. New office, tor, ardour, yad, Teamviewer 10, simple-remaster, nicons 4, slocategui, megatools cli, google drive cli, popcorn wrapper to prevent upgrade which doesn't work on wheezy at least, chrome 44.xx.xx, kernels 32-pae and x64 4.1.6 with qemu optimisation for booting direct off of hd and passing through pci hardware.

I sorted out the ldconfig problem with a workaround. 'ldconfig -XNv' wrapped around ldconfig, which limits any programs use of ldconfig. Removed some stuff. I want to upgrade xbmc, so may be wait a couple of days before upload.

Installed latest kodi Isengrad on wine and it runs for a while then shutsdown. So leaving it out.

kodi Isengard-15.2 is working perfectly on another laptop with intel core i3 and integrated graphics. It could well be that the nouveau driver is causing the problems (gut feeling).

So gonna put it back in.

oh, nothing, nothing, i guessed: devx built in, all right.

yes built in, but you can remove it if you want with rmsfs (also built in). You will just need to locate a wheezy devx.sfs to do that.

oh, not, does not disturb me.
Many applications need him.
(some qt and python components)
But: what happen with the PPM?
so strange his behaviour...

I made nvidia 340 drivers to this edition:

nvidia-glx-340.93-k3.13.9-EmSee-pae.pet:
http://www.solidfiles.com/d/5bad588ad6/
and
nvidia-glx-340.93-k3.13.9-EmSee-pae.sfs:

:)

If the installing history is not there it is because either packages were added flat (decompressed .deb or .rpm or .pet packaages) or were remastered in sfs modules. PPs is chinese only, it is now superceded by iQiyi, which I have not got working yet. EmSee2ndEdition is no longer supported anyway.

Also synaptic/apt-get/status/available problems too difficult for me to resolve so removed - just icons left.

right click on Minecraft and select set run action

Code: Select all

java -jar "$@"
that should work.

Sounds awesome!

You can probably fix the upgrade thing by putting the packages on 'hold': https://askubuntu.com/questions/18654/h ... ic-package That way other packages (like the ones a user installs) can still be upgraded. :)

I don't have time to experiment too much. But right now for installing and un-installing non-core packages, is working fine, not perfect, but better than I had it before.

I have added a small script to restore a default status and available file in case of errors with half-configured packages. This means that one can still install and uninstall additional packages, but not the already or pre-reinstated-status-file packages.

Also my latest iso has more games and I will add my own internet connection script including much of rcrsn's wlanmaker and routermaker, and options for eduroam etc etc.
