VIA C7 details trickle out.

What a blockbuster!

Wondering why no Vista support in this editorial. Well, with this kind of performance put together with Puppy, M$ becomes (at last!) totally irrelevant.

I have been eye-balling the 1.5GHz C7 VERSA Mini-ITX to replace my ML8000. It's only $179 US at mini-box.com.

Gaming

#3 Post by raffy »

Must be useful for gaming - er, is 128-bit graphics enough?

You can try mailing werner@via.com.tw to get your demo board* (perhaps with a link to the FoundationPuppy page or to your own Puppy support site to assure him that you're an active Puppy Linux enthusiast).

I hope Mu, among others, will be able to test this one for gaming.

Cheers!

* Edit: Werner says
we do ask potential customers to pay for
these boards, shipping cost etc

If arsking for freeebees, long expeereince sujests that puting yor text throo a speling amd gramar chekker mite be a good idea. Creates a more professional image!
'Lossy' is the sort of thing you get in a badly wound transformer; 'lousy' is the word to describe a badly constructed request for free samples!
For those who are literary challenged, templates for just about ever situation are available on the Net and good word processors (that cuts out M$Word, then). Personally, I never use them - spent too long as an impoverished student honing my skills at asking for previously-owned cabbage stalks!

It shows.

Actually I like lossy better than lousy, for the meaning Ted meant to convey.

If the President can event words so can I, actually started to write 'I am at a lost with cold emails' But halfway my mind switched to lousy, therefore = lossy. Sorry I was speaking with lawyers yesterday and my mind is still recovering

Hmm, as there seems to be interest from a few, I sent the mail already, referring to the page http://puppylinux.org/wikka/HardwareTesting , where the developers' names are listed. Let's hope a reply comes soon.

Response

From Werner:
we do ask potential customers to pay for these boards, shipping cost etc
So I have corrected my post above.

Am now waiting for specific instructions about ordering the C7 demo board...

Thanks, Werner, for taking the time to respond. :)
