Good day People,
I'm trying to share files between Pup Linux on my netbook and my Win8.1 PC. YASSM which comes built in doesn't seem to pick up any shared folders from the Windows PC so I installed Samba 3.6.8 using the PPM. It completed the install and the PPM now shows it as already installed(the last install prompt said it was under the utility category). However I cannot seem to find any mention of Samba under any of the menus. Terminal also says samba command is not recognised. A restart of JWM and the entire system has nothing to fix this and checking the PPM shows Samba(and all similar/related packages) installed.
What am I missing in all this.
Do help out, thanks.

The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
