In the interests of security, why not block page exit functions until one has logged out of a logged in page, or automatically detect and logout the user before closing the page. IE you cannot cancel or shut down the browser whilst logged into a page. This will have better security, and may be a user selectable option in the browser. Automatic logging in would have to be retained, I would expect.

#2 Perhaps it should only be for secured connections? https://...........
