How to use Ralink RT2070 USB wifi adapter?

I am tring to get on line,my USB Adaptor is a Railink RT2070 and works well with UBUNTU LINUX MINT and PC LINUX etc..For some reason its shown as RT2800 and isnt supported Can someone advise me if there is a workaround? Michael

The best workaround I found was to build the STA driver supplied from Ralink(mine had a mini cd with it on but otherwise their website). You may also find already built packages here.
It may come under rt3070, 3370 and others which are all compatible. rt2800 is a no go for these chips.

Possibly. Can you open a terminal and give us the output of...

so we know what kernel version you're running along with the precise chipset? Also, what version of Puppy are you running?

This way we can see if there is any package for your device that mikeb was referring to. :)
