Hi musher0,

If I offended you in any way, I don't understand why and it was not my intention.

I usually install Puppy in complete mode to get my old computer faster. So I prefer to use PET files rather than SFS. It's just my preference, don't be disappointed or vexed about it.
You can have another preference as well, it satisfies me !

Thanks for sharing and for what you're doing on this forum !!!

A JAVA for every PC platform

#33 Post by gcmartin »

:D The best part of last couple of days is that users have current solutions that supports which-ever approach they choose for their JAVA installation. :D

For both 32bit and for 64bit PCs, The Puppy Community has
  • current SFSs,
  • current PETs, and
  • a JAVA update utility for those who already have JAVA installed.
Thanks everyone for these solutions & contributions you have shared!

No, boxR, you have not offended me, I was just my natural grumpy self!
(Which I hide most of the time!)

Hi gjuhasz,

When I go to the link, I don't see any jre sfs files. Only pet's.

I scanned a few parent directories and didn't see anything either.

Are they somewhere else?

TIA

Dear OverDrive,

I'm just replacing the .pet with the promised sfs version. Sorry for the inconvenience.

In a few minutes, you can see it as

http://www.smokey01.com/gjuhasz/package ... 1-i586.sfs

FYI: I converted it from the original .pet file using the script proposed by jpeps at

http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 96d296bb0d

Have fun!

Regards,

gjuhasz

some Java applications, as Atunes, ou Jajuk.

#40 Post by Pelo »

wiki, it would be nice to add some Java applications, as Atunes, ou Jajuk. And some Java applications in other sections, to help people take advantage of Java runtime
In my opinion, Wiki is still a nice tool to search Puppy applications. Not obsolete at all, only some links are to be renewed, to newer versions of apps. Merci Darkcity.

Java updates fix/mitigate the security issues and bugs found in the previous releases. Please find the actual list of Java vulnerabilities at
