Fox Toolkit and applications

#1 Post by lmemsm »

Was wondering how many are using applications that have Fox Toolkit as a GUI and if so, which version of Fox Toolkit you're using, 1.6 or 1.7.

I noticed some interesting lightweight applications are available for Fox Toolkit. However, I think some of them require 1.6 and some require 1.7. Trying to decide best approach either to continue to use 1.6 or upgrade to 1.7. I'd prefer not to have both versions of the library. Suggestions or ideas welcome. Thanks.

If anyone's interested, here are some Fox Toolkit based applications I've come across:
fxite - free extensible text editor:

rezound - audio editor:

irc program:

xfe file manager:

Goggles - music manager and DVD player:

fxmoviemanager - file manager (works with mplayer):

Don't use them very often, but I think xfe and Goggles are quite popular around here. I used rezound long time ago, I moved to audacity when I thought development had stopped.

I rather like the Fox Calculator as opposed to the ones Puppy has in it.

And also Xfe is a suite of apps: Xfimage, Xfview, and Xfwrite.
