Light-Debian-Core-Live-CD-Wheezy + Porteus-Wheezy
I just noticed in DD make swap it recommends /mnt/home for location!

Make-swap recommends as locations /live/image (= /mnt/home for live-boot) or /mnt/home (= /live/image for porteus-boot or puppy-boot) and name pupswap.swp
The point is to make possible to use the same swap file for anyone using dual boot frugal on the same partition DebianDog and Puppy. Also valid for /opt/bin/mount-swap

Oh I see ... /mnt/home exists on other boot methods ... I didn't see it on puppy boot method, only /mnt/ ... !! Just a petty observation really ... the important thing is that it works great!
And I have to say I am using DD more and more without being conscious of the fact! A very polished user experience indeed.

Thanks to Fred in the next iso versions all boot methods will create proper /live/image (and /live/cow) link in any situation (no-save, save-file, save-folder, save-partition, encrypted-save). Porteus-boot already does that and /mnt/home can be removed from make-swap recommend line, but it does not hurt if it stays as it is. It is still available location for porteus-boot.
But you are right, Stemsee - the initrd file for puppy-boot does not create /mnt/home but /initrd/mnt/dev_save if save-file/folder is in use and /initrd/mnt/dev_ro2 for no-save boot.
/mnt/home should be symlink to /initrd/mnt/dev_save or dev_ro2 but I guess this link is created later in puppy boot process. DebianDog runs the original Debian scripts after Puppy initrd init script finish.

Hi, Fred.
Next version fixes post changed to point for download:
Flashplayerchoice with your improvement about changing version number for version 11:

Hi Toni, All,
Here's new smokey-get with lots of changes and improvements:
The best improvement IMHO is the speed of scanning http directories, it uses elinks now for that.
Instead of minutes it takes seconds now to update a host or adding a new host.
Other changes:
- Choice of host (e.g. saintless or 01micko) at start. (see pictures below)
- Template files used in /usr/local/smokey-get for every host.
- Default is 'Recursive' and removed the checkbox for it (it's fast enough now).
Toni, I used your .deb (thanks, btw ) and added/changed some more.
I'll go working now on the alsa-equalizer disable/enable option (shouldn't be very difficult) and then work on remastering with new changes in the coming days.
sfs-get-smokey-get_1.0.1_i386.deb:
https://googledrive.com/host/0ByBgCDlZZ ... 1_i386.deb
Edit:
Edit2:
Edit3; Re-uploaded the .deb; got it (sort of) solved by creating symlink (through the postinstall script) to /usr/bin/elinks
This way no error when installing elinks with apt-get.
Edit4: Again re-uploaded without elinks binary but with added dependency 'elinks', after installing it is needed to do in terminal:
This will install elinks
Edit5: Re-uploaded again with a few small fixes: e.g. In some cases download list was showing duplicates.
See link above.

Edit2:
On second thought, this won't be good, I think, because apt will give error about same file in package.decided to put it in /usr/bin so if a user installs elinks through apt-get it will be overwritten

Thanks, Fred!
Added two lines inside control file:
Provides: elinks
Conflicts: elinks
Also postinst update menus script.
http://smokey01.com/saintless/DebianDog ... 1_i386.deb
If I do not mistake Provides: will be enough for any package that needs elinks and conflicts will prevent installing elinks on top. Needs testing first to find program that depends on elinks to see if it works.
Edit: I see now your edit3 - it is fine with me with symlink. Just say which package we choose for official and I will remove the one from the site.
We can also include the official debian version. The doc files of elinks-data will be zerosized and the package is not much bigger. I would prefer the official debian version even if the size is bigger. It will be better for the user later.
Edit 2: Package replaced with the one with elinks as dependency to install. next version fixes post also updated with the same download link.

Yes, couldn't agree more, much better, again re-uploaded (same link) see also Edit4 in above post.Toni wrote:We can also include the official debian version. Stemsee, probably now it can be downloaded, or not?
Edit; Toni, Noticed your edit 2, Thanks!

Hi, Fred.
Problem with frisbee reported if bash is upgraded with apt-get. Patched deb of official bash version available here:
http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... 356#801325
I think we should include it but read the post from Perdido first if you can see any problem with the patched version.
I'm also working on move-in-cript (move content of no-encrypted inside empty encrypted save file). I will upload deb package later today if you like to include it in OpenBox version.

Hi Toni, Fred et al,
I've uninstalled leafpad, made a link to geany, as per this post:
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 573#797573
but I can't get pfind export search results to geany.
Thank you in advance.

Maybe better solution than replacing official bash?

Hi Fred,
My post was a bit inexact, sorry about that.
It's not that pfind can't be set to use a different editor.
I'm curious to know, why geany isn't called even though it's properly symlinked?
And what about other progs, that have leafpad set as default?
I'm also a bit confused by the fact, that geany lives in /opt.
Is it a proper residence for a default text editor?

Strange, I can not reproduce your problem, symlink just works ok for me, leafpad > geany.Anikin wrote:I'm curious to know, why geany isn't called even though it's properly symlinked?

Is leafpad symlink in PATH for you? (if not,I suspect that's why it doesn't work)
What did you do exactly?
On Jwm version geany is in /opt/apps/geany but there's symlink in /opt/bin
