hp deskjet d2680 says job completed is not printing

#1 Post by puzzledpup »

I have been trying to get my hp deskjet d2680 to work in Puppy Linux Precise 5.4.1

I have tried using lite and full versions of hplip and spent hours dealing with the package dependencies needed for hplip. Regardless of what route I go I end up with a printer that cups shows to be working it shows the printer accepting jobs and jobs being completed but nothing prints out. Any ideas?

Your source for information about printing in Puppy is here.

At the end of the main post is a link to the hplip_print-3.13.9.pet which supports your d2680.

Please report back with the results of your install.

Thanks alot that worked. I did have to use the cups ppd instead of the hplip or hpijs ppd this time which was a different approach then I had taken in the past with setting this up in other Linux distros. That is just something I wanted to share. That updated hplip-print did the trick. The next adventure is Google cloud print. You all might be hearing back from me.
