Greetings!

I was going through folders via Thundar and when I tried to open the root folder I got an alert:

Failed to open directory "root".
Error when getting information for file '/root/.Trash': No such file or directory.

How do I fix this? Google searchers are ambitious and Mint sites say run "fsck" but I rather take advice from those in the know here. Any newbie hints much appreciated.

What version of Puppy?
How is it installed?
What happens when you click on trash icon on desktop?

Thanks for rapid response!

Using Puppy Precise Retro 5.7.1 32bit and XFCE 4.8 with a full install on a flash drive. I don't have a trash icon my desktop (mentioned on another topic) and haven't had one since first installed. It MIGHT have something to do with Swapicons which I had installed in meanwhile, just FYI.

Greetings!

Recovering from a crash I found my desktop trash can icon missing and being unable to delete any files. When I use Thundar to see whether trash is in root I get:

Failed to open directory "root".
Error when getting information for file '/root/.Trash': No such file or directory.

Mint mavens say "just use rm" but I rather delete the old fashion way. How to I recover this function and icon?

Thanks for any help!
