I am not talking to you pelo. I am talking in general, at the idea level.

I am stating the fact that here we build distros of the Puppy variety. If you want
specialist advice about a particular application, the logical first step would be to ask in
that application's forum.

The Puppy developer may not be a specialist of any particular app, he may only know
that it's important to include application X or Y in his thematic Puppy.

there is still a huge distance between users and puppy builders.
Puppy builder provides the restaurant, users search the food...
The main, the food,both the puppy buider and the user ignore how to do it...

Hi Pelo, I hope that my latest reconstruction of vincentvanpup will offer you what you were looking for. Here are three versions to choose from:

1) This version of vincent has the non-US keyboard ("qc") bug fixed and also has all LibreOffice functions removed:

greengeek, your Van Gogh puppy loaded on my pendrive. Keyboard still fr after reboot, bug corrected. Weather is fine, our reporters bring back tons of pictures. Van Pup workshops will edit late in the night for our little city Facebook. Thanks for your active intervention for remasterize, ...

without Libre Office.. I Already have it as SFS, if needed.

hum hum hum, its only a first step, a victory, other fights are waiting us, with this upup... Musher0 and Augras were fond of it. There are other settings to do, with the package manager (links to repositories).
You did the bigger step, avoiding each user to changes Linux scripts by including them in the ISO.
Augras, in France, yet found how to do ; check to-morrow.. shotwell is well available for Raring..
2014, Augras provided here a pet for updating repository links
I check now if everything works at it should do
Shotwell was an application included in french Triton by petihar for french artists. There are alternatives. It's just to test the repository.

PPM raring to update : successful with Augras pet ! how could it be people did not even inform the forum PPM was unserviceable

j'avais djà remastérisé van Pup en enlevant libre Office et chrome pour profiter des MBS afin de mettre des application graphiques.

I remasterized yet Van Pup deleting LibreOffice and Chrome to replace them by true graphics applications, but i was unable to solve the bug of keyboard

Merci Greengeek. Do you think two browsers are necessary ? What about removing Chrome ... and adding some libs (those missing for shotwell, for instance)
A lot of puplets are delivered without a browser, some with Dillo, van Pup with Seamonkey would not deceive our artists, If we offer them some applications in exchange.. Qt apps ??? some nice graphics apps need Qt (see tahpup Quickpet)

Indeed the UpupRaring base is outstanding, pemasu outdid himself with this one.
And IMO starhawk did a very good job too of remaking it into a "Visual Artist" Puppy.

This is Puppy! If pelo wants to himself grow his very own "Marcel-Duchamp
Toutou" based on VVP, -- instead of asking other people to do the job for him

My coffee is boiling ! You discover bugs only when using the Puppy, not looking at it on the stage, like a book.. I will never judge without using. The PPM was not working, it cannot be guessed

I am unable to create a Puppy, only add and withdraw some stuff. but do car drivers should not talk about their car because they are unable to build it ? Greengeek seems not to be offensed, Musher0 ! users help by tasting (and i gave the link to Augras pet !). European are artists, american are technicians, that the reason why american painters and writers come in Paris !

Use version 0.9 from the first post; do not version 0.91... it has a clumsy way of deleting things (delete by selecting from a package list) that, in practice, is much more difficult to use than the earlier method (delete files individually, as a plain-text list of files, one per line, full paths).

One can also manually edit Puppy. unsquashfs the primary sfs (eg puppy_tahr_6.0.2.sfs), make changes, mksquashfs. Not that challenging, but a step above Woofy.

Hi.
Shinobar came up with his own remaster utility too. I used it once and I loved it,
but I can't find it anymore in this mess of a forum.

Anybody has any idea where it could be? (Or shinobar would have retired it?)

I think I remember hearing about that somewhere, but I'm not sure.

If you have a name for it and it's something fairly unique -- use the forum search and restrict to the "Additional PETs" subforums... that should find it unless it's someplace weird.

I found a shinobar remaster script here, but AFAICR, it's not the one I used.

I installed and opened the first panel of your woofy, and read the docs, and it looks
different. I'll try it next time.
