Dear All,

I use Wary 530. I use its Seamonkey Browser. I visited the site http://bhulekh.ori.nic.in/ . To view this site perfectly we need to install Oriya font, available at top-left corner of the site. I tried to install this font following different methods available on this forum and google. But I failed. :-(

Can anybody please try to visit the site and if able to install that oriya font and able to view the site with oriya fonts, let me know the procedure?

[In the left side of this website, below the Login section, "State" shall be shown in Oriya font. Now it shows boxes.]

I tried to put this font in /usr/share/fonts/default/TTF
Then I went to /usr/share/fonts/default/TTF and ran

Code: Select all

mkfontscale .
mkfontdir .
fc-cache -fv .
I was unfortunate :-(

Please help.

Sincerely,
Srinivas Nayak

To put the font in /usr/share/fonts/default/TTF is correct.
Write something in Abiword and try to apply this font to the text. If it's possible, it's because the system it's seeing (and using) the font.
In that case, may be you have to deal with Seamonkey's font options.
I'm not in Puppy now, but in my Firefox (Seamonkey's cousin) go to: Options --> Content --> Font & Colors --> Advanced. and experiment with fonts. (Remember how they are, so in case of not success you can restore as defaults).

Hope it helps.

Install this package, then restart your web browser:

You may have to zoom the page if the text displays small.
